Al Zelinka, Assistant City Manager, City of Riverside, California, has 25 years of planning and urban design experience and says his career objective is to make a difference in the communities he serves. Before becoming assistant city manager in Riverside, he served as the community development director. He’s also worked as planning manager and community development director in Fullerton, California, and as vice president of RBF Consulting and as principal of RBF Consulting’s urban design studio. At least 35 of his more than 100 projects have won awards. His bachelor’s in public planning is from Northern Arizona University, and his master’s in regional planning was earned at Cornell University.
